“Trusted Services” Landing Page (Bharat Matrimony)

UI Case Study

Bharat Matrimony offers wedding planning, marriage services, and more beyond matchmaking. This project focused on designing a user-friendly hub to showcase these ancillary services, improving discoverability and engagement.

The page acts as a one-stop destination, helping users find relevant services post-match. By presenting everything in one place, it effectively cross-sells and upsells offerings while establishing trust in the Bharat Matrimony ecosystem. The goal was to ensure users could quickly find what they need and feel confident in using these trusted services.

Problem Statement

The existing services landing page was underwhelming and underperforming. Users struggled to find relevant services because of a cluttered layout and inconsistent visuals. All services were listed in a somewhat haphazard manner, with mismatched icons and styling, which made it hard to scan or differentiate between offerings

Key CTAs like “Know More” or “Visit Site” for each service were not prominent, leading to low click-through rates. This disorganization was not just confusing but also eroded trust – if the page looked messy, users might question the credibility of those services. Thus, the problem was that the page failed to effectively introduce users to Bharat Matrimony’s trusted services due to poor visual clarity and layout

A redesign was required to implement a clean grid structure, uniform iconography, clear call-to-actions, and responsiveness, so that users across devices could easily discover and trust these services.

Competitor Benchmarking

We examined how other companies showcase a suite of related services on a single page. One area of inspiration was e-commerce “category” pages and portals like Amazon’s ecosystem pages (e.g., Amazon’s page linking to its various services – Prime Video, Alexa, etc.) which often use a grid or card layout with consistent visuals. Another relevant example was observed in the travel/hospitality industry – for instance, a travel booking site showing flight, hotel, car rental, and tour services together. These successful implementations tend to use distinct icons or imagery for each service while maintaining a cohesive design style. We also looked at direct competitors or analogous platforms: for example, how Shaadi.com or other matrimonial sites might present additional services like wedding planners or photography (if they do). While not many had a comprehensive services hub, general best practices emerged: use cards or tiles for each service, make them visually balanced in size, and provide a brief description with a clear action link. Additionally, to build trust, some sites included user testimonials or badges like “Trusted Partner” on such pages. From these benchmarks, we decided our page should likely use a grid of service cards – each card having an icon or image, the service name, a one-line description, and a prominent “Know More” or relevant CTA. Ensuring consistent card size and alignment was key, as was using some branding element (like a color or style) to tie them together. These insights gave us a clear direction to design a page that feels both comprehensive and easy to navigate.

UI Design Process

Understanding Requirements

We identified key services (e.g., MatrimonyPhotography, MatrimonyBazaar, MatrimonyMandaps) while ensuring their unique branding remained intact under Bharat Matrimony. The page needed to build trust and provide clear “Know More” actions for easy navigation.

Information Architecture & Wireframing

The page starts with an “Our Trusted Services” introduction, followed by a 2x4 grid layout on desktop for clarity. Each service is represented as a card with a name, brief description, and CTA. Icons were preferred over logos for a consistent look. A general CTA at the bottom directs users with further inquiries.

Visual Design – Icons & Colors

We designed custom icons for each service, using a flat, minimal style. Cards featured distinct accent colors from the brand palette to differentiate services while maintaining harmony. Typography remained uniform with Lato font for readability.

Layout & Responsiveness

  • Desktop: 2-column, 4-row grid with equal-sized cards and generous whitespace.

  • Tablet: Adaptive, ideally maintaining two columns.

  • Mobile: Single-column layout with centered icons and scaled text.

CTA & Interaction Design

Each card includes a visually prominent "Know More" button with high contrast for accessibility. Hover states introduce subtle elevation, border highlights, and icon animations for engagement. External links feature an arrow icon for clarity, and screen readers properly read service details for inclusivity.

Design Solutions & Features (Key Improvements)

Key Improvements – Trusted Services Landing Page

1. Structured Grid Layout

A 2x4 grid ensures equal prominence for all services, improving visual order and scannability. Each service appears in a uniform card, preventing clutter and maintaining layout rhythm.

2. Distinctive Icons

Each service features a custom icon (e.g., a camera for photography), styled consistently to enhance recognition while keeping the design cohesive.

3. Color-Coded Cards

Each card has a subtle accent color, aiding recognition and visual differentiation while maintaining harmony within the brand palette. High-contrast text ensures readability.

4. Concise Descriptions & Clear CTAs

Cards feature brief, benefit-focused descriptions (e.g., "Professional wedding photography to capture your moments") and a prominent 'Know More' CTA with a right-arrow icon for clarity. Hover states enhance interaction.

5. Responsive & Accessible Design

On mobile, cards stack in a single column, with tap-friendly buttons and proper spacing. Screen readers announce each card’s content as a single unit, ensuring accessibility.

6. Trust & Branding Elements

An intro message reassures users that services are officially from Matrimony.com. Subtle branding (small watermark/logo) reinforces authenticity. A footer CTA provides a helpline and support link for additional trust.

Results & Impact

The redesign significantly boosted user engagement and trust, leading to a 10% increase in conversion rates (users clicking through to services). The improved clarity and structure helped users quickly find relevant services like venue booking, profile verification, and matrimony assistance, driving higher interactions.

User feedback was highly positive, with many praising the page as “professional and trustworthy.” The consistent design and branding reinforced that these services are part of Bharat Matrimony, increasing user confidence.

The redesign also had a business impact, generating more visibility for ancillary services. Wedding Photography inquiries increased, and time spent on the page rose, indicating greater user engagement. Overall, the structured, visually cohesive design successfully enhanced trust, usability, and conversions.
